Located in the breathtaking Lake Toya Global Geopark region, Lakehouse At Toyako is one of the most exclusive lakeside retreats in Hokkaido. Surrounded by cherry blossom and chestnut trees on 7 lakefront acres, at the Lakehouse, you will be mere steps to the fun of water sports in summer and 25 minutes to the world-renowned Rusutsu Ski Resort in winter.

The Lakehouse features spacious bedrooms, indoor and outdoor dining spaces and a fully equipped kitchen. Barbecue facilities are also provided on site. The living room includes a flat-screen TV, comfortable sofas, a piano and a fireplace. The game room comes with a pool table and karaoke equipment.

The Lakehouse provides a ski storage space, while luggage can be left at the management office on site. Free-use bicycles are available, and an array of activities like skydiving, canoeing and helicopter rides can be arranged with an advance reservation.

The Lakehouse offers a perfect venue for customised weddings, photoshoots, and cocktail receptions. We have affiliated companies that can provide tents, photographers and music to help you organise a memorable event.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

“We had a great time at the Lakehouse during our short stay in September, and would have liked to stay a little longer if our itinerary would have allowed it. The property is wonderful: spacious, distinctive, elegant, and it comes with an interesting history, which our host Jonny was happy to share with us. The location and surroundings are absolutely stunning, lake Toya is beautiful from every angle and has a dream-like quality to it, especially during sunset. The area is great for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, kayaking. Hospitality and amenities were also great. Jonny is very obviously completely focused on providing the best possible service for his guests, and we enjoyed his genuine interest in our inputs if and how there would be anything to improve to his already great service. We had a terrific Shabu-Shabu dinner prepared by Kazue, and great breakfast every morning. Last but not least we appreciated Jonny’s local tips for activities and dining options. All in all we had nothing to complain, and enjoyed every part of our stay. Thanks Jonny, Ayuko & Kazue!”
